I have one of those career paths that needs a bit of explaining for one to understand how I came to being a website designer.  For 13 years I worked for Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates in various capacities.  One of the most rewarding experiences at HVMA was that of a Business Analyst on the EpicCare team.  EpicCare is considered one of the “best” electronic health records on the market, and in my role, I worked with the clients (i.e. clinicians, managers, and medical groups) to create a project plan of action and communicate their vision and needs to the technical analysts, responsible for developing the code for the project.

In 2010 I transitioned to a small medical practice to assist with their migration to a new electronic health record and took on other project work, including marketing and the support of their website. When it came time to look at options for upgrading the website for this practice, I was given the opportunity to build the site on my own and for many months I immersed myself in every learning opportunity that I could find regarding website design and development.

After the completion of this project, I found there was a market for individuals and small businesses who needed an on-line presence, but were not interested in contracting with a design firm, often because they were fearful of individuals who spoke in complicated and confusing terminology without giving any explanation.

These days people turn to Google to find a resource and if your business only shows up in a Facebook, Yelp or Yellow-Pages.com tag, you are likely losing clients.  But fear not! I can help you to find your way to a website that brings you recognition with style and design that excites.
